Ernie Eddy Memorial Children’s Fishing Derby: Saturday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m.
The Ernie Eddy Memorial Children’s Fishing Derby is Saturday, March 3, beginning at 10:00 a.m. All children of elementary school age or younger are welcome. Fishing gear is provided, holes will be drilled and snacks and lunch are on site. There are prizes for the largest fish caught. The Derby is held at Twin Lakes on St. Joseph Island.

WILD TURKEY HUNTING WORKSHOP, SATURDAY APRIL 21 at the Conservation Centre
At this workshop, you will gain practical experience and knowledge about hunting and harvesting wild turkeys. This (outdoor, as far as weather permits) workshop is popular: register soon, so you are not disappointed. Despite our wintry weather, the Turkey Workshop will be at the Conservation Centre. Only the Gun Show and Outdoor Day on Sunday has moved to the Legion.
WILD GAME TICKET SALES: SATURDAY, JANUARY 6, 2018
Ticket sales for the 24th Annual Wild Game Dinner are this Saturday, January 6, 2018! Sales begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Conservation Centre. There is a limit of 8 per purchaser. Ticket sales are on a first-come-first-served basis.
PROVINCIAL ONLINE HARVEST REPORTING Now Available
There is now an online method of reporting harvest. This is the link to the Provincial Online Harvest site: https://www2.on.wildlifelicense.com/start.php?lang=1. Online reporting is found to be much more convenient than completing and mailing in the postcards. The online survey literally takes only few minutes, and the reports play a valuable role in MNRF’s harvest planning. The online MNRF site is the single access to many services offered by the MNRF.
Please note that trail cam observations are not to be included in harvest reporting.
NEW UPDATED ELK AND AGRICULTURE SURVEY

2019 Wild Game Dinner: Saturday, January 26, 2019
It’s the 25th Anniversary Wild Game Dinner! Doors open at 5:00 p.m. at the Legion in Richards Landing. Bar is open and appetisers will be served until dinner service begins at 7:00 p.m. Desserts and a fun evening of live and silent auctions will follow.
RESULTS OF THE 2017 PHOTO CONTEST
The Annual Community Christmas Potluck and Photo Contest was a well-attended and fun event. The dinner contributions were varied and tasty. This year, the photos submitted to the contest were of high quality, but there were fewer submissions than in past years.
