The Annual Island Fishing Derby is the first week of July. Registration will take place on June 30th from noon to 8 p.m. and again from 8:00 a.m. to noon on July 1, at the Conservation Centre. The derby begins at 6:00 a.m. on July 1. and runs to noon on July 9th. An awards dinner with presentations will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9th. Cash awards will be given for the largest fish in each species category. Mystery prizes will be revealed at the dinner and presentations.
